| The Apalachee River Walk is a citizen driven project dedicated to provide a rustic path through the woods along the bank of the Apalachee River in Oconee County Georgia. The Apalachee River, known as one of the most pristine rivers in the area, forms the boarder between Oconee County and Morgan County to the South, and Walton County to the West. There is currently no public access to this river in Oconee County. The Apalachee River Walk is an ongoing project designed to provide a 5 ½ mile back to nature experience for all Oconee County Citizens and Visitors. The Apalachee River Walk is accessible via a trailhead starting at Heritage Park on Highway 441 below Farmington. |
